From an early age, I liked to share stories.  The ones about me always started with the phrase “It was a sunny day…”  I also liked to ask people questions about what was going on in their lives.  Coming from a young child, many thought this was endearing and they obliged.

I wrote for my Southern California high school newspaper and my future as a journalist was forged.  Working at the campus radio station in college and in a variety of local news internships solidified my passion for helping people share their stories with a wide audience.

Fast forward: After having the good fortune of working with extremely talented people at NBC News in New York, and picking up a few prestigious awards along the way, I relocated to the Midwest where I continued to work as a freelance producer.  Got married. Started a family. Turns out, the rigors of newsgathering were no match to those of raising three small boys.

I hit the pause button.

At about the time we were done with strollers and naps, I was approached to write a press release for a foreign delegation of women visiting the Twin Cities from the Middle East.  Once again, I had an opportunity to help a spectacular group of people share their story.

Khabie Communications was born.

Small businesses. Non-profits. Authors. Chefs. Inventors. I feel fortunate that my clients have entrusted the faith and confidence in me to help them bring to light the amazing work that they are doing. They gain exposure and credibility. They become established thought leaders and sought out experts. And together we share their stories.
